The music of the Who + BPO = a good Friday night

by Kathryn Przybyla • November 09, 2011 @ 9:00am
If you never had the chance to see The Who live, there is no excuse not to hear the musical stylings of one the UK’s greatest musical imports this Friday night at Kleinhans Music Hall. The Music of the Who is an audio experience that will combine the appealing sounds of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra with classic rock.
Great albums such as “Tommy,” “Quadrophenia,” “Who’s Next” and “Who Are You” are sure to be featured during this unique show. The Who originally formed back in 1964 and is still producing great music today. With nearly 100 million albums sold over a life-long career, they are a legendary group, and their songs continue to break genre barriers—which is hard to deny when our local philharmonic orchestra is covering their tunes.
The show starts at 8 p.m., and be ready to get a taste of some real rock ‘n’ roll. Tickets can still be purchased through the BPO website. Check out the video below for a taste of what to expect.
