blog by Avery Hartmans  •

Goo Goo Dolls’ bassist Robby Takac and his non-profit organization, Music is Art, will host a press conference at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 23 at the Shakespeare Stage in Delaware Park to announce their plans for the 2011 Music is Art Festival.

The Music is Art Festival brings together musicians, artists, photographers, dancers and DJs in a day-long exhibition of local talent. The festival features displays by visual artists, live art created throughout the day, performances by various dance troupes, local DJs providing dance music and a Battle of the Bands.

Thursday’s press conference will reveal the 2011 festival’s location, date, theme and poster art and will celebrate one of Buffalo’s most unique art festivals. For more details on the press conference of the Music is Art Festival, visit musicisart.org.
