Boulder, Colo. duo 3OH!3 will commandeer Town Ballroom on Saturday night in a show presented by After Dark Entertainment. The concert begins at 6 p.m. with openers Outasight—a current KISS 98.5 favorite—Silas and local rapper Chae Hawk. Tickets for the whole gig run for $23 and can be purchased online here. Tickets cost $25 at the door.
The electro-pop sensations Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte have collaborated on tracks with Katy Perry and Ke$ha en route to national prominence. They’ve experienced quite a wild ride on their tours—at least according to the Fuse video below—and it’s hard to predict just what kind of antics they’ll engage in after their Buffalo show.
Outasight, the moniker for Richard Andrew, is a newcomer to the spotlight, but he’s receiving solid airtime on local radio stations. Here’s Pop-break.com’s interpretation of Andrew’s sound:
His insane flow is steeped in old school New York hip-hop while his sound is in tune that hip-hop/pop/electronic hybrid that is sweeping the nation right now.
Local rapper Chae Hawk has had a whirlwind summer, opening for Talib Kweli and LL Cool J at Town Ballroom and Buffalo Place’s Thursday at the Harbor, respectively, and then releasing his long-waited debut album, “Dance Party for the Heavy-Hearted” in mid-August at Ujima Theater. See photos of the release party here, and check out Ben K.‘s detailed interview with the rising hip-hop star.
Originally, Sammy Adams was scheduled to perform in this show, but he’s taken time off from touring to work on his upcoming debut record “I Wish.”
