A lifetime of secrets - VIDEO

It’s a simple concept. Who would have thought that anonymously shared secrets could be so inspirational?

In early March, I got an opportunity to sit down with PostSecret creator Frank Warren prior to his panel at SXSW Interactive in Austin. For a man who has influenced thousands of people by bringing a sort of artistic healing to their own vices, I found Warren to be quite soft-spoken and humble.

Prior to a book signing, he answered a few questions from a couple fans who recognized him and then sat with me to talk about his project. Many will be more familiar with the Sunday Secrets he posts every week with a new set of postcards that were sent to him.

On average, Warren says he receives about 100 postcards a day, delivered to his mailbox, although there are sometimes spikes around holidays or certain events.

He gives people a chance to get something off of their chest without the risk of any social cost. No stranger to Buffalo, Warren has spoke at a few WNY colleges in the past and will continue his tour for the rest of the year. You can find out where he will be next on his website.
