In an interview with Huff Post Live, the singer (and apparent New Era fan), rocked an impressive Buffalo Bills cap talking about his career and upcoming tour.

Aaron Carter, who hit fame at a super young age and once known as Backstreet Boy Nick Carter’s little brother, eventually transformed into a successful solo artist on his own. “The After Party Tour” will make a stop in Buffalo at 8 p.m. on Feb. 23 at The Forvm in Amherst.

Five things I learned from the interview with the one-time teen heartthrob:
He’s quit smoking after hitting Broadway in the leading role of “The Fantasticks.”
His first girlfriend was Amanda Bynes—back in the day.
Michael Jackson is one of his biggest influences and heroes.
It’s been 10 years since he did a live tour—he was 15.
He knows Beyonce.

You can watch the full Huff Post Live interview here:

But why the Queen City shout-out? When asked where he was most excited to tour, Carter responded with “Well, I do have a Buffalo Bills hat on.”

Although Buffalo might have been super interested in Carter’s fashion choices for the interview, others were not as receptive. During the interview, media outlets taunted the singer with Bills jokes, to which Carter cooly responded to via twitter.

Aaron Carter

You’ve got to give this guy props. Like any Buffalo Bills fan, he’s totally owning it with the New Era hat (another Buffalo shout-out!)—not to mention, sticking up for his team. We did a story last month announcing Carter’s upcoming show in Buffalo, slated for Feb. 23, that you can check out here.

For more information on Aaron Carter coming to Buffalo, head over to Ticket Web for details on tickets.
