We’re all sick of the end of the world predictions. It’s time to take a break from the apocalypse and listen to Alpocalypse.

It’s Weird Al Yankovic’s new album, featuring Lady Gaga parody “Perform This Way,” and you can hear some of his new songs live on the Mainstage Theatre at the Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo.

If you loved “Eat It,” “Like A Surgeon,” and “Amish Paradise,” clear your schedule for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13.

Some of the album’s featured parodies are:

• “Perform This Way” (Lady Gaga)
• “Party in the CIA” (Miley Cyrus)
• “TMZ” (Taylor Swift)
• “Another Tattoo” (B.o.B. featuring Bruno Mars)
• “Whatever You Like” (T.I.)
• “Polka Face” (A medley of Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Britney Spears, P!nk, Lady Antebellum, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga)

Yankovic’s beginnings were simple, consisting of sending homemade recordings of his delightfully quirky parodies to nationally syndicated DJ Dr. Demento. Since then, he has won three Grammys with 12 nominations, 31 gold and platinum albums, and a bunch of other awards. Now in its fourth decade, his career has put him in cult-hit movie UHF, a Saturday morning television series and MTV and VH1 specials.

Due to Yankovic’s status as a Star Wars fan, Buffalo’s Star Wars Fan Club, The North Ridge, will also make an appearance. Look for them starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre lobby.
