Best Christmas lights display ever created
blog by Kathryn Przybyla • December 12, 2011 @ 10:30am
A combination of two of the most wonderful things in the world—hockey and the holidays. This crazy homeowner in Lancaster—and by crazy I mean awesome— strung up 6,500 lights and combined 10 songs through 48 channels to create the most epic Christmas lights display ever.
There is even a facebook fan page for this thing! People are encouraged to drive by 6 Red Clover Lane in Lancaster and tune their radios to 90.5 to hear the accompanying music. You’ll hear the Sabre Dance and legendary calls by Rick Jeanneret.
I’m afraid to ask how long this might have taken, but the result was definitely worth it. The light show runs Monday through Sunday from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Update: 12:15 p.m. Dec. 12
Twitter legend @LindyRuffsTie Tweeted at us a little while ago with more info on this lights display, including a link to his (its?) earlier post. The mysterious men’s accessory also brought to our attention the similar wording in our headlines. Either great minds think alike, or great minds are completely unoriginal. We’re going with the former.
