Buff State theater department announces 2012-2013 lineup

Buff State’s theater department announced its 2012-2012 lineup Monday, making the upcoming year one full of drama, humor, dance and more.

The information below is from the official statement released by the theater department:

“When the Walls Come Down-Truth!”
Created by the storytelling team of the Theater Department, the Anne Frank Project and Mashirika Performing Arts (creative and performing arts group from Rwanda).
Directed by Drew Kahn.
8 p.m. Sept. 19 to 22, 26 to 29; 2 p.m. Sept. 22 and 29
Flexible Theatre, Donald Savage Theater and Communication Building

“Dames at Sea”
The Andy Anselmo musical with book and lyrics by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller, and music by Jim Wise. Directed and choreographed by Carlos R. A. Jones.
8 p.m. Oct. 31 to Nov. 3, Nov. 7 to 10; 2 p.m. Nov. 3, 10
Flexible Theatre, Donald Savage Theater and Communication Building

“9 Parts of Desire”
Drama written by Heather Raffo. Directed by Alysha Reller.
8 p.m. Feb. 6 to 9, 13 to 16; 2 p.m. Feb. 9 to 16
Burchfield Penney Art Center

“The Ladies Man”
Fun-filled farce written by Georges Feydeau, adapted by Charles Morey and directed by Donn Youngstrom.
8 p.m. March 7 to 9, 14 to 16; 2 p.m. March 9 and 16
Warren Enters Theatre, Upton Hall

“Recapitulation”
A Buffalo State dance faculty-choreographed concert.
8 p.m. April 24 to 27; 2 p.m. April 27
Warren Enters Theatre, Upton Hall

Tickets are $15, $10 for faculty and staff, and $6 for students. Purchase tickets at the Rockwell Hall box office or by phone (716-878-3005).
