‘Buffalo Bob’ Smith featured in 1950s Nabisco commercial - VIDEO

Does this mean “Buffalo Bob” was the Chad Michael Murrary of the 1950s?
I came across this old school television commercial from Nabisco, promoting Wheat Honeys and Rice Honeys cereal. Inside every box was a free Howdy Doody action picture ring with favorite characters from the show. Quite the incentive, I’m sure. Do they even include toys or trinkets in cereal boxes anymore?
I remember going to my Grandma’s house and snacking on Cracker Jacks, there was always a little toy inside there. Today, not so much. The kids are really missing out. Take a look at the nostalgic commercial here.
