Buffalo Screams film fest screams into Buffalo

The third annual Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival screams into Buffalo on Wednesday and brings with it multiple scary movie screenings and more.
The five-day festival features tons of films made by filmmakers of all levels of experience—from students to pros—from Buffalo to as far away as Barcelona. It will be held at Market Arcade Film and Arts Centre, 639 Main St. in downtown Buffalo. A full schedule of events is available on the festival website.
Buffalo Screams culminates in the Screamer Awards, which recognizes horror films and filmmakers, at the Screening Room Cinema Café, 3131 Sheridan Drive, Amherst.
“This year’s nominations reflect the diversity that Buffalo Screams is becoming known for,” festival chairman Gregory Lamberson said in a statement. “Our selections run the gamut from arthouse fare to slasher films to science fiction. We try to spotlight as much variety as possible, and we give as many awards to short films as to features.”
