The latest issue of the Buffalo News’ Discover not only lists summer’s great events, it includes a helpful section on the beaches of Western New York and Southern Ontario.
It’s definitely “surf, sun and sand” weather, and with Memorial Day coming up, take a look at some of these nice spots to soak in the rays and finally enjoy some nice Buffalo weather.

Don’t forget about Mickey Rats / Captain Kidd’s which has the biggest lakefront patio in WNY, plus they do not have a ‘cover charge’ for the view of the Jersey Shore ‘party beach’ that you will find at other places. Free parking, great bartenders, good food, and live music, what more could you ask for on a beach? www.mickeyrats.com
Brad, Mickey Rats is a great spot as well! It was included in the Buffalo News’ “Discover” special section that we linked to at the top of the article. There are so many great spots in the area.
