Three Buffalo-area music stores will participate in Record Store Day on Saturday, offering deals and hosting live entertainment throughout the day.
Record Theatre’s two locations and Spiral Scratch Records are listed as participating on the Record Store Day website.
Only the Record Theatre shops are marked as official Record Store Day Pledge stores, which means those shops will sell certain albums at agreed-upon prices.
Here’s what you can expect from participating stores:
3500 Main St., Amherst and 1800 Main St., Buffalo
Both locations will host live music, exclusive albums and releases from the White Stripes, Bob Dylan, the Black Keys, Ani DiFranco and others. Doors open at 9 a.m., and everything is discounted by 20 percent until noon.
Spiral Scratch Records
291 Bryant St., Buffalo
Spiral Scratch will, like Record Theatre, open at 9 a.m. and host live music throughout the day. The full entertainment lineup is available on the store’s Facebook event page. The store will be handing out freebies and offering deals on vinyl, including items in $1 and $2 bins. Amy’s Truck will be parked out front, offering quick and easy access to iconic Buffalo grub while customers shop and listen to live music.
