It’s never too early to start thinking about the holidays, right?  The Niagara Holiday Market has released its lineup for their Christmas season 2011 concert series, and starting on Nov. 26 the new European-style holiday market and festival will host four top-notch performances on Old Falls Street at the Conference Center in Niagara Falls.

The Niagara Holiday Market will debut in November, running from Black Friday to New Year’s Day. The market—organized by Brix and Company, USA Niagara, the City of Niagara Falls and other corporate partners—will offer live entertainment, ice skating, community events, retail shopping and plenty of internationally-flavored winter activities. The Canadian Tenors - Nov. 26

This multi-platinum band isn’t the group of elderly men the name may suggest. Members Clifton Murray, Victor Micallef, Remigio Pereira and Fraser Walters are four young men who are more Josh Grobin than Bing Crosby. They’ve traveled five continents, performed on The Oprah Winfrey Show, and sang for President Barack Obama.  “The Perfect Gift,” their holiday album, took just three weeks to go gold in Canada and was released in the U.S. last winter.

Christmas with Aaron Neville - Dec. 1

Aaron Neville became a success in 1966 with the debut of his single, “Tell It Like It Is,” and has since been captivating audiences with his “...insightful, honest and soul-quenching voice.” This show will be full of the “gentle, heartfelt vocals” he is known for and will include the Aaron Neville Quintet and Charles Neville.

Elisabeth von Trapp - Dec. 7

If you’ve seen “The Sound of Music,” you already know the story of the von Trapps. If not, well…let’s just say the Nazis didn’t stand a chance against Julie Andrews.  Since her childhood in Vermont, Elisabeth has been a professional singer, performing in European cathedrals, Washington D.C.‘s Kennedy Center and everywhere in between.

Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra - Dec. 17

For the final concert, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will offer its Christmas special, “A Visit With St. Nick.” This performance has been a Kleinhans Music Hall tradition for years, and now conductor Paul Ferington is bringing the show to Niagara Falls for the first time.  What’s more powerful—the raging force of the mighty Niagara or musical prowess of this Grammy Award-winning orchestra?  YOU DECIDE.
