Canisius rap is awkwardly endearing

Love it or hate it, “This is Canish,” the rap and its accompanying YouTube music video by Canisius College student Daniel Bax, has people talking.
The video was posted online four days ago, has been viewed a couple thousand times and has been shared on Facebook among Canisius circles. The reactions are mixed. There are the blatantly lame attempts at insulting Bax, and then there’s a bunch of praise.
I have to admit, I get a little uncomfortable when Bax does this little arm-swinging dance move at the 1:30 mark, but I enjoyed the references to Menutainment, Lyons Hall and the shuttle. And in Bax’s defense, no one else—as far as I know—has written and published a Canisius rap. Give the guy a break. Or if you think you can do better, let’s see it.

Some parts were definitely a little awkward… but it had me laughing so i’ll give him credit.
