Close out March with comedy at Adam’s Mark

blog by S.J. Velasquez  •

March came in like a lion and will go out like a laughing hyena for those who attend Friday night’s Lake Effect Comedy show at the Adam’s Mark, 120 Church St., Buffalo.

Stand-up comic Matt Bergman will headline the show. Bergman, a local, has been on tour for years. Lately, he’s been touring with John Heffron, season two winner of “Last Comic Standing,” and and he just recently opened for JB Smoove at Helium Comedy Club in the city’s Cobblestone District.

Bergman and fellow comedian James Kurdziel recorded “Friends,” a standup comedy album produced by Robby Takac’s Good Charamel records, and released it to the public last year.

Brian Herberger, who’s performed at Helium Comedy and and appeared on Rob Lederman’s new TV show “Late Night in the Buff,” will host the Adam’s Mark comedy showcase, which will include a strong lineup of other funny folks: Rochester comedians Tim Almeter and Nate Clark, and MovieMaddness podcasters Adam Hernandez and Jason Pomietlasz.

The show starts at 9 p.m., with doors opening at 8:30. Advance tickets are $7 or $9 at the door. Free parking for event attendees is available in the hotel lot.
