Buffalo Place is bringing it back, way back to the ‘90s, for its first summer concert on the waterfront.

Counting Crows and the Wallflowers will kick off the Buffalo Place Rocks Canalside concert series at the Erie Canal Harbor Central Wharf on June 28.

Both bands recently wrapped up an Eric Clapton arena tour and today announced summer tour plans, including the highly anticipated announcement of the first Buffalo Place summer concert along the waterfront. Buffalo will be one of 22 stops on the tour.

Each ticket purchased will come with a copy of Counting Crows’ new live album “Echoes of The Outlaw Roadshow,” according to a Buffalo Place news release.

Ticket pre-sales begin Tuesday through both bands’ respective websites.

Advance tickets are $16, and $20 on the day of the show. Regular ticket sales begins at 10 a.m. Friday through tickets.com or by calling 1-888-223-6000. Tickets will also be available at Buffalo Place Inc., 671 Main Street, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
