Crawl downtown for beer, SoCo specials

Before the weather starts getting “too cold” to leave your house, take advantage of a night downtown with access to 11 bars and great drink specials at the Buffalo Bar Crawl on Friday night.
This year’s bar crawl includes 11 bars including LUX, Purple Monkey Tropical Pub, Noir, Buffalo Tap House, Privato, Bottoms Up, 67 West, City Tavern, Indulge, D’Arcy McGees, and Buckin’ Buffalo Saloon. It’s like a “Taste of Chippewa” in bar crawl form!
In its sixth year, typically over 4,000 Buffalonians participate in the biannual bar crawls organized by Pete Altholz, the co-owner of trendy Chippewa establishment The Lodge.
Buy tickets online before midnight on Thursday for only $10, as admission rises to $15 (cash only) on Friday night at Delaware and Chippewa.
If you’ve purchased tickets in advance, there are fast-moving ticket-only lines outside of Purple Monkey and Starbucks (both at Delaware and Chippewa).
Admission entitles the partier to entry to all participating bars, a souvenir beer stein and access to three $3 drink specials. This crawl is sponsored by Labatt.
All bars will be offering Labatt Blue and Blue Light beers and Southern Comfort mixed drinks or shots for only $3.
Noir will offer its own special frozen Southern Comfort Hurricanes, which sound both delicious and a little dangerous.
If you are able to successfully maneuver your way to all 11 bars, you will receive an official Buffalo Bar Crawl T-shirt—and impressed glances from first-timers.
