If there is one thing to bring summer to a close, it’s the announcement of the WYRK Fall Acoustic Show.
Taking place on Sept. 16 at the UB Center for the Arts, Easton Corbin will headline the show, joined by up-and-comers Joel Crouse and Charlie Worsham. Tickets for the show are $25 and $35 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the CFA box office.
According to his website, “Mercury Nashville recording artist Easton Corbin is the most successful new artist in country music in the last year. The native of rural Gilchrist County, Fla., is being lauded for his traditional country sound, authentic lyrics and mastery of understatement.”
With Billboard naming him the top new country artist of 2010, Corbin’s lived up to that name with continuous success after his first big hit “A Little More Country Than That.”
With his boyish charm, it’s hard to believe Corbin is 31 years old, but reminds us of Luke Bryan in the same country boy way. “Lovin’ You Is Fun” became Corbin’s lead single of his second album “All Over the Road” and has earned him a permanent place in the country music business.
