First Fridays opens doors to local art

Allentown is known as one of the most artsy and creative districts in our area with many restaurants and local businesses to choose from. Tonight, Mundo Images will be hosting an evening of food and drink from 6 - 8 p.m. sponsored by local Allentown establishments in order to raise money for the First Fridays program. Attendees will have the chance to partake in a silent auction and entertainment will be provided by local musicians Andrew Delmonte and Brooke Reynolds. The suggested donation for this event is $5 but patrons are encouraged to give liberally.

On the first Friday of each month, Allentown art galleries, restaurants and businesses welcome visitors to enjoy a variety of rich cultural attractions that include local art, music, performances, food and more. This free, self-guided tour of galleries, shops and restaurants is run by volunteers on a minimal budget. The next First Fridays gallery tour will take place this Friday and a list of local participants can be found on the Allentown Association website.
