Free outdoor BPO concerts begins Tuesday

blog by S.J. Velasquez  •

It’s hard to beat the prices on outdoor entertainment this summer. We have everything from free outdoor yoga classes to free live music at the harbor, and now let’s add on free classical concerts in Western New York’s beautiful parks.

Beginning Tuesday and running through July 7, catch one (or more) of the outdoor Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra shows that are part of the First Niagara Summer Concerts in the Parks Series.

All shows begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday’s show takes place at Goat Island State Park in Niagara Falls; on Wednesday, catch the BPO at Knox Farm State Park, 437 Buffalo Road, East Aurora; on Friday, the orchestra plays Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo; and on July 7, the orchestra perform at the Lancaster Band Shell, Artel Metz Drive, Lancaster.
