Ten-year comedy veteran Kristen Becker will release “How Could She?,” a brand new comedy album that touches on everything from Civil War reenactments to Mennonite in-laws, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The set, recorded late last year at Nietzsche’s—home to the city’s longest running open-mic night, which Becker founded—includes a mix of new material and some fan-favorite jokes. It will be available to download on KristenBecker.com Tuesday, and on iTunes at a later date.
Among her many comedic accomplishments, Becker’s been named one of America’s top 10 funniest lesbians by Curve Magazine, Buffalo’s best standup comic by Artvoice two years in a row and reached the semifinal round of NBC’s hit comedy show “Last Comic Standing.”
To celebrate the launch of her comedy album, Becker will host a special Valentine’s Day edition of “Doin’ Time” on Tuesday evening, with performances by Becker’s most recent class of comics-in-training.
