On a recent visit back to the Queen City, Buffalo native and Armageddon star William Fitchner stopped by the WBBZ studios to do a quick interview about growing up in Buffalo, his upcoming role in The Lone Ranger and more.

Known for big roles in The Perfect Storm, Black Hawk Down and Contact, Fitchner is a proud WNY supporter with family who still lives in the area. A huge Sabres and Bills fan, he tries to make it out to games in support of the local team when they are playing on the west coast.

But with a late start to acting and the entertainment industry, bringing filmmaking back to Buffalo seems to be next on his agenda.

“I have things. I have a true-story that took place in Western New York and someday, I’d like to make that story. It’s here. I can’t imagine anything more exciting than being here and shooting a movie.”

Take a look at the interview from WBBZ below.
