Quite a few movies and television shows have been set and filmed in Western New York.
The Office—Jim & Pam’s wedding (TV)
Jim and Pam get married in Niagara Falls when the office takes a road trip from Pennsylvania.
Best Friends—with Goldie Hawn and Burt Reynolds (Film)
The true love story is based on the relationship between the film’s writers, with many scenes shot and set in Buffalo.
Bruce Almighty—with Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston (Film)
Set in Buffalo, Jim Carrey gets a chance to play God.
Buffalo ‘66—with Christina Ricci and Vincent Gallo (Film)
An indie film starring Buffalo native, Vincent Gallo, this film was shot in Buffalo and released in 1998.
The Natural—with Robert Redford and Glenn Close (Film)
This movie was shot in Buffalo, and this specific scene was shot at the old War Memorial Stadium which was demolished in 1988.
Niagara—with Marilyn Munroe (Film)
One of Marilyn Monroe’s most famous films, this movie was shot in Niagara Falls and released in 1953.
