It’s G5-Gi Day in Buffalo on Friday

Friday is a big day for Buffalo hip-hop artist G5-Gi. The smooth-flowing MC with ties to industry heavyweight Drake, Buffalo Bills wide receiver / aspiring rapper Stevie Johnson and football prospect Chad Kelly will celebrate both his twenty-third birthday and the release of his fifth mix tape, #March23, with a 10:30 p.m. party at Noir Ultra Lounge (88 W. Chippewa St., Buffalo).
On Tuesday, G5-Gi leaked a track from the upcoming release—“WeedMan,” featuring work by Cardo, a Dallas-based producer who is well-known for his work with Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean and Mac Miller, among many others.
Update: Buffalo.com was just given an exclusive, additional track released from #March23—“Get It Back” with production by Buffalo’s Jimmy Dukes.
The show at Noir will feature appearances by the F1rstClass crew, including notable Buffalo MCs Chase Dinero, Jae Skeese, Kenny B. and Brasco as well as performances by DJ Spin, DJ Focus, DJ Headbussa and Rochester’s DJ Hekla.
