Yes, this is really happening. In a genius effort to create some buzz around their Walden Galleria new location, the Microsoft Store will host a grand opening celebration featuring a Kelly Clarkson concert.
Other upcoming store openings for the technology giant include performances from Demi Lovato, Dierks Bentley, Pitbull and others—but the original American Idol will be gracing her presence in WNY after a recent show here with Maroon 5.
The actual concert will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16 with doors opening at 5 p.m. and the concert beginning at 7 at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center. The Walden Galleria representatives will hold the concert there instead of at the actual mall to accommodate the expected crowd.
BUT in order to get into the show, you’ll have to grab a ticket ahead of time. Here’s how to get yours:
Option 1: Try and score some VIP meet and greet passes to the event by lining up inside the Walden Galleria at the Cheesecake Factory entrance (between Coach and Sephora) beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15. The first 100 people in line will receive these exclusive passes that night for the show on Saturday.
Option 2: General concert tickets will be handed out to the first 1500 people in line for the grand opening of the Microsoft Store beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov 16 (the day of the concert). Grand opening ceremonies for the store will kick off at 10:30 a.m., so come early if you want to a better chance at scoring a ticket to the show.
The concert itself will allow people to line up for the show beginning at 3 p.m. with doors opening at 5 p.m. Kelly Clarkson will take the stage at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center at 7 p.m.
