One of the most unique art shows to ever come to Buffalo, “Pirates of the Kittybean” will intrigue art fans of all ages at 464 Gallery.

A collection of plush creations and interesting illustrations will be presented by Denn Rodriguez—in her first solo exhibition on Friday. According to gallery owner Marcus Wise, “Pirates of the Kittybbean features a number of one-of-a-kind hand-made designer toys following Denn Rodriguez’s original character creations, the Masked Pirates and Friends. The exclusive edition of these characters will include certificates of authenticity.”

Here is an example of one of Rodriguez’s creations.

Also, an illustration from her collection as well.

Stopping by 464 Gallery on Wednesday, I met with Wise to chat about the upcoming event and other things happening at 464 Gallery. Nestled on Amherst Street in Buffalo, the space is incredibly inviting with featured local art in addition to gifts and items to purchase.

According to their Facebook page, “464 is an art gallery and retail space where local and emerging artists can come to share, show, and sell their work, as well as shape and sharpen their artistic skill set. The gallery houses regular rotating shows and events and has dedicated gallery and retail space for members.”

Pirates of the Kittybean will be open to the public from 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday at the 464 Gallery (464 Amherst St., Buffalo, NY 14207). This is also a First Friday in December event, so be sure to make it a stop on your art hopping schedule.

Check out our Shop Buffalo video on 464 Gallery for a better look at the gallery.
