Part of the Polar Plunge’s allure is the uncomfortable feeling of diving into frigid water, and you’re going to want to warm up and celebrate your generosity.

The plunge itself begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, and then participants are welcome to shuffle over to Jack Devine’s, 4170 Southwestern Blvd., Hamburg, for a post-race party of food and beverages between 3 p.m. and 6:30. The gathering is open to all ages. Fewer than four miles separate the party location from Woodlawn Beach. Here’s a map!

Tickets are $10 on-site, and the party is free for any “Plunger” who raises over $200 in donations, which support Special Olympics New York, Plunge contact Amy Neveaux noted in an email.

Here’s the link to the .pdf menu at Jack Devine’s. Some suggestions for warming your belly? Jack’s steakhouse chili, french onion soup, Devine’s loaded burger, Jamaican jerk chicken wings and Reuben skins. There’s plenty of Irish beer, too, as Guinness, Smithwick’s and Harp Lager are all popular.

Enjoy your plunge into the cold water— Weather.com expects it to be roughly 40 degrees and mostly cloudy—but know there’s a chance to get warm and celebrate.
