One of the best parts of going to the Buffalo Irish Festival when I was younger was all the music and entertainment downtown at The Pier.

A few short years and interesting locations later, one of Buffalo’s best summer events has come back to the waterfront and taken a home at Canalside. I couldn’t be more excited. The best night for music looks to be Friday at the Guinness Stage. Favorites such as the Glengarry Bhoys, Makem & Spain Brothers, and Enter the Haggis will be rocking downtown Buffalo all night.

In addition, Dady Brothers, Tom Sweeney and Seamus Kennedy will be entertaining on the smaller Harp Stage at the same time. There really is no lack of talent at this festival. Besides music attendees can check out traditional step-dancing from one of the many local Irish dance schools, 30 touring shops of Irish goods, traditional food and much more.
