Queen City Cadence: Hey Rosetta! at the harbor

blog by Kathryn Przybyla • June 20, 2012 @ 1:43pm

Although they might not be headlining, Hey Rosetta! is sure to put on a great show as part of the Thursday at the Harbor lineup, alongside Built to Spill and Matthew Sweet.
According to their website,
Hey Rosetta! hails from the rocky and cold northeastern province of Newfoundland, Canada. In 2005, frontman Tim Baker arrived home from a road trip with a suitcase full of poems and melodies. Hey Rosetta! was formed soon after with the addition of a string section (cellist Romesh Thavanathan and violinist Kinley Dowling) and rhythm section (bassist Josh Ward, drummer Phil Maloney, and guitarist Adam Hogan).
Since then, they’ve blossomed into a powerful group whose explosive live shows have earned them a devoted following.
The group was also featured in out Get the Look series earlier this week, showcasing some of the bands music inspired style and fashions.
Hey Rosetta! will be taking the stage this Thursday as part of the Thursday at the Harbor concert series. For more information on upcoming music, check out the Buffalo Place website.
