Queen City Cadence: Rascal Flatts returns to Darien Lake

blog by Kathryn Przybyla • June 28, 2012 @ 9:17am
A Buffalo favorite, Rascal Flatts will be bringing their country swag to Darien Lake this weekend as part of their “Changed Tour.”
After parting ways with their management team and longtime record label, some thought 2010 was going to be a shaky one. But not surprisingly, the trio came back with three singles on par with their earlier hits like “Why Wait,” “I Won’t Let Go” and “Easy.” Off their latest album that was released in April, “Banjo” has been getting some serious air-time and is on track to be their next big hit.
Joining Rascal Flatts this year will be Eli Young Band, who was just in town this month for the WYRK Taste of Country and another country trio, Eden’s Edge. The show kicks off at 7 p.m. and tickets are still available, ranging from $36 to $157.
The rest of the best:
Thursday—Fountains of Wayne with Summer People and The Albrights, 5 p.m., Erie Canal Harbor Central Wharf (free admission)
Thursday—Eric Church with JT Hodges and Maddie Larkin, 6 p.m., Darien Lake Performing Arts Center (free for Taste of Country ticket holders)
Friday—Sam Roberts Band with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, 6 p.m., Erie Canal Harbor Central Wharf ($10 advance, $20 day of show)
Saturday—Rascal Flatts with Eli Young Band and Eden’s Edge, 7 p.m., Darien Lake Performing Arts Center ($36 to $157 tickets)
Tuesday—Dave Matthews Band, 7 p.m., Darien Lake Performing Arts Center ($40.50 to $89.50 tickets)
