Founded in Irvine, California back in 2004, Young the Giant has splashed onto the music scene with a cool sound and look.

With their first two singles “My Body” and “Cough Syrup,” Young the Giant has made the seamless transition from indie group to full-fledged rock band. An incredibly loyal fan base and great writing has really made the difference for musical success.

Formerly known as “The Jakes” the group consists of Sameer Gadhia on vocals, Jacob Tilley on guitar, Eric Cannata on guitar and vocals, Payam Doostzadeh on bass and Francois Comtois on drums and vocals.

Young the Giant’s lush experimental compositions complemented with infectious pop hooks and unique soothing vocals will make for a perfect evening in Downtown Buffalo. Special guests, The Apache Relay and Bahamas will also take the stage to warm up the crowd.

Thursday at the Harbor kicks off at 5 p.m. at the Erie Canal Central Wharf. Admission is free to this event.
