Read up on M83 before tonight’s show

It takes a special artist coming to Buffalo for a show to sell out over a month in advance. But that’s just what happened with M83, the brainchild of Anthony Gonzalez, who comes to Town Ballroom tonight.
Touring in support of the band’s fall 2011 album “Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming,” the four-piece with 1980s flair is coming off a sold-out show at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre. The Chicago Tribune’s review marveled at the band’s energy and expression, and M83’s double album succeeds in creating nostalgia and an ethereal feel.
For those with tickets already, doors open at 7 p.m. with the opener I Break Horses slated for 8.
