If you are one of the unlucky souls who has not had an opportunity to swing down by Buffalo’s Canalside district—or are just interested in learning more about what’s been done and what’s planned for the area—today may be your lucky day. The Buffalo Niagara Partnership is holding the first of its three scheduled Results Roadshow events this afternoon, and the first spotlight will shine on the Inner Harbor.

Registration for the Results Roadshow will begin at 2 p.m. at the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation (95 Perry St., Suite 500, Buffalo). At 2:30 p.m., ECHDC president Tom Dee will offer a historical look at the Buffalo waterfront and discuss the ongoing developments that have changed the face of the city’s often-controversial area. Dee will also present an aerial overview of what’s coming to Canalside (spoiler alert: it’s not Bass Pro. Sorry, couldn’t resist). The discussion will have plenty of room for audience questions.

And then you’re off! Dee will lead a walking tour of the area, allowing participants to see firsthand exactly what’s going down on the waterfront. The jaunty constitutional on this beautiful summer day will wrap up at the new Liberty Hound restaurant for a 4:30 p.m. cocktail reception. If you’re a fan of the rock ‘n’ roll, stick around—Buffalo Place’s free Thursday at the Harbor show kicks off at 5 p.m., featuring Fountains of Wayne (of “Stacy’s Mom” fame).
