Swirling ballerinas and exceptional dancers will take the stage at the UB Center for the Arts for an incredible performance.

The Russian National Ballet Theatre will perform at 7:30 p.m. on March 26 at the CFA and tickets are now on sale. An event for the entire family, this is a great opportunity to see some of the world’s more talented dancers perform right here in Buffalo.

According to UB, “Swan Lake was inspired by the ancient German legend of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer’s curse.  With its melodramatic plot twists, exquisite choreography and Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, this enchanting ballet is among the most revered in the classical canon.  It is brought to stage by the Russian National Ballet Theatre with all of the breathtaking virtuosity and stunning costumes that make Swan Lake a delight for the whole family.”

Some history on the show, “In 1994, the legendary Bolshoi principal dancer Elena Radchenko was selected by Presidential degree to assume the first permanent artistic directorship of the company. Ms. Radchenko is the founder of the Russian National Ballet Theatre, and she has focused the Company on upholding the grand tradition of the major Russian ballet works and developing new talents throughout Russia, with a repertory of virtually all of the great full works.”

Tickets for this live performance are $31.50 and $13.50 for students and children. For more information on purchasing, head over to the UB Center for the Arts website here.
