Congrats to Mama Gosling!

Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling and his girlfriend Eva Mendes were in Niagara Falls, Ontario yesterday after stopping at Brock University to celebrate his Mom’s graduation. According to People Magazine, Gosling’s mom graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education. Gosling grew up in London, Ontario and went to high school in Burlington.

The Toronto Sun reported that

The couple sat near the back of the auditorium, often whispering to each other during the ceremony. When Gosling’s mother, Donna, was called to receive her diploma, he jumped to his feet, clapping and taking pictures.

Attendees at the graduation ceremony seemed ecstatic and it took no time for pictures of the couple to pop up on Instagram and Twitter. Also while in town, the famous couple visited Niagara Falls and even took a spin on the Niagara Skywheel while playing tourist for the afternoon.

I may have missed this opportunity for Gosling to fall madly in love with me while visiting Southern Ontario, but I did eat at his restaurant Tagine in Beverly Hills a couple summers ago. It must be fate.
