Salvaging Beauty

blog by Kathryn Przybyla • May 17, 2012 @ 9:54am
Art truly is in the eye of the beholder.
But when your body is turned into a work of art, this is where people tend to disagree. According to the description,
This is a 22 minute film from Buffalo, New York, that tells the stories of five tattooed women (in their own words) as they traverse a world that often condemns their permanently printed bodies.
This film, entitled “Salvaging Beauty,” was produced by Stevie Berberick in collaboration with Juliette Arico. Take a look.
Also, for those of you really interested in the world of tattooing, be sure to check out the 2012 Niagara Tattoo Expo that was just announced. It will take place August 3 to 5 at the Niagara Conference Center. There will be tattooing on site, famous artists from shows like “LA Ink” and “Inkmasters” and other events throughout the weekend.
