Shake your groove thang at the North Park Theatre on Thanksgiving Eve

The North Park Theatre is a breath of fresh air in this multi-screen megaplex world of ours—a single-screen cinema that shows a mix of indie, artsy and under-the-radar films that may actually make you use your brain a little bit. The North Park has an old-school marquee, is located in the heart of North Buffalo on the Hertel strip and feels like the type of place that your grandparents would have furtively held hands while struggling through their first date. It’s got character. It has charm. It has class.
It’s also the type of place that could use a little extra support. You know that you’re probably going out on Thanksgiving Eve—consider making a stop at the North Park. Get ready for the World’s Largest Disco next weekend by warming up your vintage club gear at Dipson Theatres’ presentation of Disco Duck Live from 7:30 p.m. to midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the North Park (1428 Hertel Ave., Buffalo). Co-sponsored by your buddies here at Buffalo.com, the party will feature a performance by local musical legends Disco Duck, lots of dancing, a costume contest, prizes, food, drinks and more.
Count on a colorful, sweaty, wild night with Casey, Disco Dave, Ric, Marky Chimes and the rest of the Disco Duck crew:
Tickets are $20 presale and are available online. No kung-fu fighting allowed.
