How nice of USA Today to compile a list of the “10 best places to savor Buffalo wings.” If there is anyone who knows where in the world to find the best wings, it’s the people of Buffalo. We applaud your inclusion of other wing spots around the country, USA Today, but everyone knows Buffalo’s fine establishments dominate in this category. Surprisingly, only one Queen City establishment was mentioned in the list and here are the rest who made the cut:

Winger’s (Bountiful, Utah)—this Western chain fries its wings “naked” — that is, without batter.

Pluckers Wing Bar (Austin)—this spot uses real blue cheese in its dip, which helps tame the spice in hot wings.

Nando’s Peri-Peri (Washington, D.C.)—you’ll find an international variation on wings at this chain that started in South Africa in 1987.

Furaibo (Los Angeles)—this budget-friendly chain helped popularize the snack in Japan and has a huge following in Southern California.

Jimmie Kramer’s Peanut Bar Restaurant (Reading, PA)—no exotic fancy flavors, just good quality wings here.

The Tavern Sports Grill (Little Rock)—wings are smoked for four hours over hickory and applewood and then fried to order.

Three Dollar Café (Atlanta)—the café serves big, meaty wings and has a large selection of drinks.

Hurricane Grill and Wings (Miami)—choices include Thai ginger and garlic glaze, ancho chile lime sauce and raspberry-chipotle.

BuffaLouie’s at the Gables (Bloomington, Ind.)—diners can chose from 14 homemade sauces.
