It’s time to get wild—the Erie County Fair is back!

The gates open to the 173rd Erie County Fair at 2 p.m. today with the Channel 2 Opening Day celebration.

Opening day has a lot to offer, firing up with the Swifty Swine Racing Pigs as well as the Blacksmith and Kitchen Craft cooking demonstrations. Throughout the day you’ll see stilt walkers, comedy jugglers, fiddlers, acrobats, and more! Not to mention all of the animals in new attractions such as Wolves of the World and Wild about Monkeys. Check out the Erie County Fair schedule for the complete list of today’s events.

The Buffalo.com Grandstand is kicking off the fair’s concert lineup tonight with “1964” The Tribute, deemed “the best Beatles tribute ever” by Rolling Stone. The Tribute will take the stage at 8 p.m. with free admission.
Admission to the fair is $2 per person and children 12 and under get in for free. Parking is also $2.
