Tonight: Green Velvet at Rendezvous the Niteclub

blog by Kathryn Przybyla • March 02, 2012 @ 9:12am
Green Velvet was initially created by Curtis Alan Jones, as an outlet for his non-vocal productions and frequent DJ gigs, grew to become even more popular than the man himself, thanks to club singles like “Preacher Man,” “Answering Machine” and “The Stalker.” Each were infectious, undeniably fun records with simple vocal taglines and a wonderful sense of humor.
The last decade also saw Green Velvet become a fan favorite across Europe, playing to huge crowds at festivals in addition to live radio appearances and club gigs. Numerous side projects and remixes under various names also added to his seemingly nonstop musical output.
You can catch Green Velvet at 10 p.m. tonight at Rendezvous the Niteclub. Tickets are $10 for this strictly 21 and up event. But if you purchase a ticket to the upcoming Paul Oakenfold show, also at Rendezvous the Niteclub, your Green Velvet ticket for tonight is free. Head over to the Statler City website for more information on how to purchase tickets to both of these shows.
There is also a free admission pass for Facebook fans if you become a fan of the Rendezvous the Niteclub fan page.
Here is a remix from “Percolator,” with some sweet moves:
