Don Vidler takes a look at four new novelties that you can pick up at Vidler’s 5 & 10 in East Aurora.

The store is currently celebrating their 82nd anniversary, from when the store was opened in June of 1930. It all started with a spool of thread. Vidler’s will also be hosting a celebration this Saturday in honor of the store’s anniversary.

Festivities begin at 11 a.m. with an official cake cutting and 10 cent popcorn. There will be an in-store piano player tickling the ‘88 with ragtime and other tunes, Merle Maple Farms will be selling their unique maple cotton candy in front of the store and Firefly Cupcakes is featuring Vidler’s theme flavors this week to help up celebrate.
