Some of Buffalo’s best writers, artists and musicians will showcase their talents this Wednesday at Main St. Studios for the WAM open mic and acoustic showcase.

From 6:30 to 10 p.m., attendees will be able to check out the event hosted by Alex Foote and Derek Presti of Free Henry! and Erica Eichelkraut of NOMAD Art and Lit Magazine/City Lights Studio.

According to WAM,

We welcome spoken word artists, poets & singer/songwriters to come down & perform a 10-15 minute set. There will be drinks available, and as always, it’s a free event open to the public. Sign up in advance to guarantee your spot by emailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

The schedule of events for the night are as follows:

6:30 to 7 p.m.—Sign-up and Networking
7 to 8:30 p.m.—Open Mic Set I
8:30 to 9 p.m.—Special Acoustic Performance by Andrew Delmonte & Brooke Reynolds
9 to 10 p.m.—Open Mic Set II

Should be a great event, but in writing this post, I can’t seem to get Wham!‘s “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go” out of my head.
