It’s quite a feat to take five dozen bands around the country. It borders on impossible—but Vans Warped Tour does it all the time.

The combination music and skate tour will come to Darien Lake Performing Arts Center tomorrow and begin at noon. There are plenty of bands to listen to, like:

• A Day to Remember
• D.R.U.G.S.
• I Set My Friends On Fire
• Less Than Jake
• Simple Plan
• Unwritten Law
• We Came As Romans

With multiple stages, more than one band can play at a time, making it possible to cram this enormous event into one night. A complete list of bands is online. Some would say it’s crazy to even try fitting this all into such a short time. Well, as this year’s theme proudly declares, “We Are Warped.”

In the program, tour founder Kevin Lyman said that everything is important—from the bands to the crew to the sponsors—but he credits the event’s 17 years of success mostly to the fans. Vans is partly responsible, though. The company is one of the tour’s biggest sponsors and brought the skate tour idea to the table.

Tickets are $41.50—less than a dollar for each performance—and are available online or at Ticketmaster locations. A cheeseburger or pizza meal deal with small fries and a soda is $8.50, and a Warped t-shirt is $22.
