Bell Biv Devoe at Buffalo Place Rocks Canalside - PHOTOS

by Matt Weinberg  •

Despite the rain, Western New Yorkers of all ages gathered in huge numbers to close out a weekend of free concerts at Buffalo Place Rocks Canalside. It was one of the largest crowds that Canalside has seen all summer.

Boston-based R&B sensation Bell Biv Devoe took the stage on Saturday night and put on a powerful performance which included several hits from the early 1990s as well as more recent songs.

After having huge success with New Edition in the 1980s, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe formed the powerhouse group Bell Biv Devoe and released the album “Poison,” which went platinum four times. After two more albums and numerous hits, the trio definitely had a remarkable set list that motivated Buffalonians to brave the rain and dance the night away.

On deck at Canalside is Yonder Mountain String Band on Aug. 1.
