Buffalo Excellence in Media Awards

It was a gala night as the brightest stars in Buffalo's broadcasting talent gathered at Salvator's Italian Gardens for the first Buffalo Excellence in Media Awards presented by the Buffalo Broadcasters Association. Radio personality of the year was won by Sandy Beach of WBEN AM-FM; WIVB-TV's Jacquie Walker was selected TV personality of the year and Rich Newberg of WIVB-TV received the first BEMA pinnacle award; Rising star award was given to Anthony Congi of WIVB-TV. The Buffalo News received digital media of the year award.
