Day 11: Scenes from the Erie County Fair

Where have you gone, summer? It seems like only yesterday that we were heading down to the first Thursday at the Harbor concert or taking our first screaming rides through Darien Lake. Now, there is a discernible coolness in the air, the clouds look low and heavy and the Erie County Fair -- that huge, beating heart of the summer season -- has almost run it's course. This is not the say that fall in Western New York isn't fantastic, too, because it is -- but it does seem a little sad that we've almost reached an ending. Thankfully, we will always have these photos to remember the glory days of 2012.
