Music is Art Festival at Delaware Park- PHOTOS

It was a wet and wild Saturday in Delaware Park as the 11th annual Music is Art Festival played on to the rhythm of the raindrops that fell upon Elmwood Village and the rest of Western New York.
No winds, rain or mud pits could get in the way of the music and arts loving crowd as they marched through the wet wonderland of Delaware Park to see over 100 bands, 70 displaying artists and photographers, dozens of dancers and DJs, live art creation, a kids village, and as MiA states on their Facebook page, “chaos and mayhem!”
This was definitely the experience we had as we wound our way through every musical genre from mainstream to off the beaten bath (literally off the beaten path if you found your way to the Sky Mound Stage).
One of the many highlights of our experience was listening to countless amazing DJ sets at the Japanese Rose Garden.
Check out the photo gallery to see shots from sets by Azid Kiss, Sunglasses Mike, Bigski, and Roboroc. Also found at the Rose Garden Stage were great performances put on by members of the Buffalo Hula Hoop Group, a break-dancing performance by Solomon Dixon, who was also there to share his poetry, and live art by Dario Mohr (see Dario himself and his live art in the photo at the very top of the gallery).
Another live art display of fantasy and fashion came from JFR Productions (look out for the zombified woman in her masquerade outfit). We also captured some photos from a nice groove filled set put on by a talented group called The Brass Monkeez on the Big Easy Stage.
Check out the photo gallery to see shots of Buffalo’s finest music and arts lovers as well as shots of the wonderful chaos and mayhem that was the 11th Music is Arts Festival.
