Neglia Ballet Artists present Baba Yaga at Shea’s - PHOTOS

by Don Nieman  •

Just in time for Halloween, Buffalo’s beautiful Shea’s Performing Arts Center was the venue for Neglia Ballet Artists’ presentation of the Baba Yaga, a ballet based on the Russian story of a fearsome witch, Baba Yaga, who lures young Misha to her strange cottage built on chicken legs and prepares to eat her, aided and abetted by crows, skeletons, and other spooks.

The ballet was choreographed by Neglia Ballet Artists artistic director Sergio Neglia. There was a costume party before the presentation that included a reading of ‘Baba Yaga.’
