On Monday night, Soho Burger Bar was filled with fans cheering on their favorite football ... ads. Fresh off of the marketing and advertising blitz on Super Bowl Sunday, the Advertising Club of Buffalo hosted it's fourth annual Uber Bowl Commercial Review. The sold out event featured an "Around the Horn" debate style competition that pitted two teams of advertising experts battling it out over who had the ultimate knowledge and insight into Super Bowl advertising. Attendees enjoyed drinks, Burger Bar sliders, and were able to purchase squares in hopes of winning prizes based on the outcome of the debate. Hosts for the evening were WGR-550's Howard Simon and Jeremy White. The competitors who critiqued the commercials were Jay Josker (Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission), Colie Blake (New Era Cap), Jillian Benedict (Eric Mower and Associates), and Monish Bhattacharyya (SKM Group). The team that narrowly won the first round was the duo of Jay Josker and Colie Blake. In the final round Jay and Colie went head to head with a final round of 3 questions each. The crowd was then asked to cheer for their choice of Uber Bowl IV Champion and Jay Josker came out on top.
The panel's favorite Super Bowl ads of 2013 were "Miracle Stain" from Tide, "Clydesdales" from Budweiser, "Farmers" from Dodge, "Viva Young" from Taco Bell, and "Prom" from Audi.
