Buffalo remix: ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’

by Kathryn Przybyla  •

They say that imitation is the best form of flattery. In that case, Gotye has been flattered, a lot.

The Belgian-Australian singer's "Somebody That I Used to Know" has taken the world by storm over the last year. And although it was originally released in July of last year, it took until this month for the hit to reach the number one on the charts in 18 different countries, including the United States.

Local rapper and producer, Grabbitz took it upon himself to remix the song, adding a great piano track and stripping down the radio version. The remix comes together with a smooth beat and a clear hip-hop influence.

But Grabbitz isn't the only one who's produced their own version of "Somebody That I Used to Know." Take a look at some of my favorite covers of the song.
